it doesent cost really much at all to run hps lights. your battery idea will not work. if you had a generator to run then it would work. but a car battery is only 12v. that will not be able to run a hps light.

thats what i thought it was. i got it new for like 69 bucks (usd). my bulb i got a really good deal on as well. got a phillips cramilux bulb for $10 usd the only thinhg is i have to wire it up.

you need to upgrade to a 400w hps. you will notice a huge difference.

so i just bought a new ballast kit and bulb. it is decribed as HPS-400-5TAP - 400W HPS Ballast Kit 5-Tap S51 . any way what is the 5 tap mean?? im thinking its the voltage where you can switch up the volts to 120 to 220....i could be wrong.

any one know about this? got some seeds from a good friend. any info on them would be great (veg/flower times and yeild). ive heard of trainwreck from cali.
