alright i get it now. i'm going to have a 250cfm inline fan taking off the heat from the cooltube. then a 273 squirrel fan exhaust and 250 intake system. the 273 was $20 so i had to get it. just got to figure out how to get the carbon filter through the box shape of the squirrel fan. but thank...

yeah its just that the cooltube is one of the cheapest vented lights at htgsupply. i guess my question was do i need another 273 exhaust if i got the cooltube?

good call. i was planning on it but i probably would have gotten cheap or lazy and not done it right. what soil do you use? i think i'm going to go for fox farm. or something organic

i do want to veg the shit out of it. well i'm going to veg until i have to flower to get my harvest on time. i'm thinking having 4 ft plants by the end of it. so what do you guys think, 3 or 5 gal?

well that makes sense. do you have the vent and intake on the same side? or is your fan strong enough to bring it in from the other side?

i heard that its good to have a little bit more exhaust then intake air. but i also heard its better to have more intake than exhaust. any opinions? i have a 250 cfm and a 273. so i was just wondering which you guys thought would work better where. thanks

well i was going to get the 5 but just wanted to make sure that it wouldn't do any harm to put them in a big container. why does the plant have to be transported at all then? why can't it just be placed in a huge pot from the get go?

hey. i was wondering if it is better to get a 3 gal or 5 gal pot for a 3-4 ft plant? i was planning on the 5 but i didn't know if it was possible to have too big a pot. hope this doesn't sound too stupid :peace:

well they do b/c its a flat shipping rate on ebay whereas the site is specific to where you live. so it could be more, could be less.

how do you get them to lollypop? trimming or what? is that best do you think or is it better to go strain-specific? sorry about all the questions. you just seem to know your shit !

hey everyone. i'm plannin on starting in aug so i got plenty of time. i just want to get it right the first time :) so i'm planning on going all organic with some subcool seeds. i want to veg them to about 2ft to get some big plants and i was thinking 3-4 total. i'm probably going with a 400w...

the short answer is they are great but not great. they do emit a lot less heat and the light is absorbed at a lot higher rate, but it causes some stretching and they are expensive as hell. they are the future, but hids are a lot better for right now.
