Thats a great idea, i never would've thought up. I gonna give this a shot but, instead of the milk jug, i'm going to try using a 5 gal. bucket.

Tin Foil supposedly collects heat spots and can sometimes burn your leaves. Space blankets work the best if you don't have mylar. Space blankets are made to reflect heat unlike tin foil, which absorbs it.

Will those little packets of plant food you get when you buy flowers work for feeding my babies??? Not sure if they're harmful to humans, that's why i ask.

I have 3 seedlings that just came up through the soil, two days ago. I was planning on vegging for like two or three weeks. Then I would start to flower them. What are some estimations of how much that would yield?

Its about a 3ft. x 18in. x 18in. grow box lined with an emergency blanket. There is also a purple rope light w/ a small fan inside. But, the rope light is about 4-6 in. away from the tops so idk. I heard lights should be bout 2 inch away, but i pulled it up a bit in case it was burning.

Its been 3 days since my babies have sprouted and their doing really well under the rope light. There is a slight discoloration on the tips of the 2 round leaves. My only reasoning for this is either, from accidentally knocking off the shell of the seed when it came through, or from being a...

Well another one sprouted over nite. So i've decided that three plants for my first grow is fine. The thing is, i have to hope their females.

If i have just two plants, will they stink up a room?

2 of my babies just sprouted in the past 6 hrs. Happy to get down to business. I took out the heatlamp and put in the rope light so, i don't burn their precious leaves. If nothing sprouts in a day or two from the other two, i'm goin to take them out and just keep the two. Hope their both females.

If i was to use CFLs i would reconstruct the top of my box. So, I'm gonna just gonna stick with the rope light for now, until i can find something else. But, I will take everybodys tips in account if this grow fails.

rite now the heat lamp is working fine, i'm going to switch to this purple rope light i have pretty sooon. B/c the first time i tried growing w/out a growbox my plant was growing like an inch a day when i had the rope light on it.

yea thanks for tip...i just got done ripping out the tin foil and i put the space blanket in, its alot cooler inside there now. Now my babies can breath.

I actually have one of those laying around the house somewhere. But isn't the point of a space blanket, to reflect heat.

There's two fans to exhaust it. But, its my first grow, I'm just trying it out. Just a trial and error type deal.

Planted 8 seeds, 3 days ago from this killer bag i got about a week ago. I have a 300 watt heat lamp in a 3'x18"x18" grow box with the inside lined w/ tin foil. I just got foil up today and watered them again, they should be good till they sprout. Let you know when the sprout.

I have a 3 ft. grow box and was gonna try the PC growbox set-up by using 12 on/ 12 off after the 3rd set of leaves come through. They say w/ a PC type you should use the flowering method as they sprout. Think it will work? :leaf:Any feedback would be great.:leaf:
