good to hear you're getting that pH thingy down ;P you're doing well. those short stalky ones look perfect. just stay the course. patience is a virtue. now comes the boring, nerve rattling part o.O pro mix loves to build up salts...so let 30% run off, and let them get dry between feedings.

happy new year! You're making great progress. It will be 6-7 weeks before you see the results. Just in time for Valentine's day ;) The large one is calling for a smidgen more fertilizer...and/or pH 6.0. I know growers who keep it at 5.8 with great results. I got my friend with the headband...

quality comes from genetics. yield comes from good gardening. imo, 6" rockwool blocks would be goof proof, and give super results. Even with "organic" fertilizer. Dutch use it for roses, veggies, etc. Only hobby farmers can screw it up...so they've been going back[wards] to pro mix :/...

Punk's T5 TGA Chernobyl and Ace of Spades, also featuring Woody Haze

is this picture from post *300 ace of spades?? 20121229_193028.jpg awesome plant. I considered 2900 K 4' T5 (at 4 per linear foot, plus reflectors) but it's just not practical at my grow size :/ peace

First grow (4000watt ebb and flow, rockwool)

Amazing run! I think I may have to copy you :) How does it smoke? Whether you run recirculating or dtw, rockwool prefers top drip (you rocked it with e&f). Dripping essentially flushes any salts out of the blocks on a daily basis.

    Big Mama 8" rockwool blocks

I'm looking at using rockwool for my upcoming grow. I'd go with the 8" slab over the big mama. the slabs are dual density, so they retain moisture and EC more uniformly along their length and height. Two hugo blocks on a slab can grow monster plants. Thanks for the tip on using hugo blocks...

it's not the NPK that stimulates flowering. it's the EC. your plants are begging for more nitrogen...hence the yellowing bottom leaves. slowly creep up on their needs. 1/3 strength DNF every watering. pH 5.8. aim for 15-20% runoff. let the pots get dry (they'll be very light) between...

    New year resolutions!

grow as much high quality pot as possible :) some other health, relationship, financial, and educational goals. I believe in continuous improvement...not motivated by an arbitrary date. peace. Happy new year!

Merry Christmas! I wouldn't worry about cloning the headband. It's a common clone around toronto. If you get your card, the compassion center has a decent selection.

I would guess that your plants will stretch 1.5-2x...so flower based on that. I believe that six, 2' tall plants, would be pushing it for one 600w light. Try to flower when they're between 12" and no more than 16"; don't wait for the runt to catch up. so that means flower them within a few...

where did you score the seeds? F2 are notoriously inconsistent. you could literally have 3' tall plants, and 6' tall plants come from the "same" variety. same goes for potency - it's a crap shoot. That's not to say you won't find anything good. lemon haze sounds like someone planted...

it's a good thing they're pretty damn good stuff...if they were pretty darned good, I'd say toss them and start over ;P One thing to watch for though...sinsemilla isn't supposed to have seeds. They're most likely from a hermaphrodite plant and/or a lazy grower. The seeds you planted will...

    My very first grow room

great job! you have a few different genotypes...which means you could essentially have different growth patterns, and different highs. that's bag seed for ya. Genotype "hunting" is growing them out, then selecting the best one to clone and grow out again. How was the bag weed? There's the...

    My very first grow room

I'd say feed at 1.4 mS. Do you have an EC metre? If you were using a hobby fertilizer, it would be easy to give a strength (GH has it listed on the bottle, so you don't need a metre). What exactly are you feeding them? You say pH may be an issue...what is the pH of your feed/water? btw...

    A NEW kind of Lighting!!!

they're saying better quality light, at half the energy consumption. if it doesn't have the *intensity*, then it's useless as a grow light.

    Hydro nutes??????????????

i've used botanicare pure blend pro in dwc (jack's garden from homegrown hydroponics). the plants absolutely loved it! using soilless, and feeding with a nute solution is hydroponics...and you don't have to worry about pH drift. pbp is hydro-organic...so it's designed for hydro. find your...

    My very first grow room

**what is the temperature at the plant tops?** you definitely want temperatures in the low to mid 20s. get a 100 cfm (or so) fan at the ceiling blowing out hot air, and let in cool air. if you're exhausting to the basement, the large volume will help dissipate the hot air...however, you need...

    My very first grow room

if you can get more clones down the line, I'd hold off on making your own right now. First it will interrupt their growth, and second, it's another skill to learn on your first grow. Try it later, after you've successfully grown these plants through to harvest. Focus on the basics.keep the...
