    Mite Help

i would water with neem oil throughout veg to prevent the infestation in your next crop. getting clones from dispensaries is risky business, especially if you happen to be in CO. DON'T BUY FROM THE CLONE STORE!!!!!!! but watering with neem at a rate of 1.5 tsp per gallon of water with 2 tsp...

    Humidity and Spider Mites?

even chemical options can't guarantee to be rid of a mite population. the best way to ensure they won't be back is to water with neem oil. i use 1.5 tsp neem oil with 2 tsp castile soap per gallon once every 2 weeks to make the plant undesireable/uninhabitable during veg, but i stop watering...

    Humidity and Spider Mites?

humidity can slow mite populations down, but i would hardly consider it a control. it certainly won't kill them. there are several options for irradicating a mite population, just beware that it could be a year long battle in some cases. check out my old thread Removing and Preventing Spider Mites

    Purple Stems and Veins

pics were taken at night, so it's impossible to tell if they've been overwatered. all plants droop when the lights are out. yes, yellowing leaves could be a root problem, but when that took hold in my plant it nearly killed all the lower growth in a week, and it actually looks similar to a...

    Purple Stems and Veins

cold weather will turn buds purple, but i've never seen anything except calcium def. cause a purple stem. i've had lots of purple stems, and cal-mag plus ALWAYS solves the problem. they're also brittle, not just purple, so you can break branches even with light buds.

    Is This Nute Burn?

i agree. if you added more nutrients last feed and you're seeing damage on previously healthy plants, your soil's ph is outta whack. sometimes it can be extreme too, i've flushed plants in the past and the runoff water has been as low as a terrifying 3.2, and as high as 7. flush it with 1.5...

    Total Take Over by Spidermites

lol if you smoke cigarettes i will say it's hard to argue the importance of a chemical-free garden

    Total Take Over by Spidermites

i won't argue that all organics are safe, cuz they're not. they're plenty of organic poisons, too. i will say however, i feel a lot safer knowing that my medicine is 100% safe, because i don't have to worry about waiting more than 21 days for the poison to leave, i don't have to worry about it...

    Total Take Over by Spidermites

Why does that even sound like a good idea? if it's dangerous to get on my skin, why in the hell would you wanna smoke it? go organic and safe.

    Powdery Mildew Problem

there's a reason Avid is illegal in cali. if you ask me it should be illegal to manufacture the shit too. i use the same spray for mites that i do for pm, and that's cinnamon and clove oil spray. it does an excellent job on both, and i don't even have to add poison to my medicine.

    Is This Nute Burn?

the purple stems may be cal-mag, but the purplish brown and shitty curling leaves are curling cuz the new growth is sucking phosphorus from the old growth. a magnesium deficiency looks similar to an iron deficiency, neither of which are represented here. calcium deficiency in the leaves is...

    Is This Nute Burn?

this is phosphorus deficiency. not sure about your nutrient brand as a haven't used it, but i go with about 2 tsp per gallon of botanicare nutrients and my shedule is feed-feed-water to prevent nutrient toxicity. 1 tsp nutrient is probably not gonna cut it for mature plants.

Help! Spider Mites in Final Weeks

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. i use c02 all the time to control bugs, even when i can't see signs of an infestation. it works well. as for the grape juice, i give that about a 0% chance of working on the bugs (especially cuz they'll migrate while the plant's drying anyways), and about a...

    Cloning with Superthrive

for the first couple of days yes, but i leave the dome off for about 20 minutes per day to prevent mold. after day 3 they're ready to leave it off and then within a couple days of leaving the dome off they'll be showing roots.

    White Widow Plants Sick?

this is correct, but in week 5 of flowering with white widow i wouldn't add too much nitrogen. maybe feed once with 50/50 grow and bloom ferts then switch back to bloom.

Ideas on the "Second Wind" or Veg-like Stretch near Harvest

i think you have either a faulty timer or a light leak. it sounds like your plant is trying to re-veg, and the only way that would happen is if it's getting less than 12 hours of dark on a consistent basis.
