    Huge Changes from Advanced Nutrients???

Yeah! Why doesn't Big Mike come here himself and tell all us pot growers that Advanced Nutrients is the greatest stuff for growing pot! It's not like pot is illegal, or as if AN got targeted hard-core a few years back by the damn war on drugs gestapo from the US. Seriously, use your heads...

Sorry I didn't check here sooner. GrowDat - I use AN pretty much exclusively. I can try to answer any questions you've got as best I can, but if you need an answer really fast the tech support number on their website is usually fastest. SHOTTY - It depends. If you want to go SOG you can go...

B-52 Stealth Bubbler: Bubbleponics And CFL Stealth Experiment

That's a hell of a nice cab you've got there. HiGHLiFE28 is right about the bulbs... they're not likely to completely cover the odor but they could help. If it were me I'd probably buy/build a bigger scrubber just in case, and wait to see if I need it. I love the Sensi 2-part. Have you used...

    Sweet Leaf?

I love Sweet Leaf, I use a lot of that. I've used Wet Betty, the regular (not organic) but I'm lazy enough that I don't foliar feed much. I still have some because I always plan to get off my ass and spray foliar more but I never seem to actually do it. Kind of like how I keep planning to get...

Advanced nutrients vs fox farm and the rest

Yes, ions are ions, but as we all know there's more to hydroponic nutrients than just the ions. Even more importantly is how you get those ions into solution. Not every potential fertilizer salt dissolves well in water, and not surprisingly the ones that dissolve the best are typically the...

Advanced Nutrients - Organic Soil, Input?

You seen that new feeding schedule they have for the upgraded nutrients?

    Better Hydroponic Nutrients

Here's how I see it: If you don't have your basics worked out - temp, light, humidity, etc - you're not going to see impressive yields no matter what you pour in the res. And if you've got everything but nutrients nailed down 100% perfect you're going to grow pretty well no matter what you use...

    Huge Changes from Advanced Nutrients???

Hoo boy have I got a scoop! I asked Erik Biksa about this stuff, he and I go back a ways (he's the guy that got me into hydroponics in the first place). Anyway he isn't really working on this at all but he did hear a little bit about it. Of course he says it's every bit as good as they say...

dr hornbys nute advice plz when and how much

That may be true in theory, but it's not usually true in practice. Same here. As far as I can tell you can either have a larger yield with Big Bud or a smaller organic grow. Exactly dude, the quality is there either way. My advice, if you're going for organic, is to use Iguana Juice and as...

Advanced nutrients vs fox farm and the rest

That's been my experience as well. Totally understandable, I did the same thing. I just got tired of the inconsistent results and ended up using Advanced Nutrients. Nah, sugars are just one kind of carbohydrate. It's like a species of bird or something, one narrow type of thing in a...

    Bloom booster???

No offense man, but a decent grow doesn't prove much except that the plants didn't die. Show me spectacular. That's the pudding that has the proof.

Advanced Nutrients - Organic Soil, Input?

Unless I'm mistaken the only problem with larger doses of silica is that the plant structures, mostly stems and branches, can become extra strong to the point that it's hard to cut them. I'm sure there's a level that is bad for plants but it must be pretty high.

    Better Hydroponic Nutrients

That's a really good analogy. A cold isn't likely to kill you, or necessarily stunt your growth, but it can sure slow you down for awhile. Plants are the same except their colds can stunt them a bit.

dr hornbys nute advice plz when and how much

Newboi - just look at the calculator and use it for the proportions. Don't necessarily follow the recipe exactly, scale it down to start off. So if it says to use 100mL of one thing and 150mL of another, start off at like 1/4th or 1/3rd strength. Keep them in the same proportions to each...

Advanced Nutrients - Organic Soil, Input?

Absolutely man. I bet some are going to think that it's not really fair to compare FF to Conni. I mean you've got an ultra-premium nutrient versus ordinary FF... it's hardly a contest there. max - I use barricade the same way. It's awesome for pH Up with the added benefit of making your...

Sour Diesel Update: 7 Weeks Flowering, Tips?/Hints, 1000w, 1st Time Grow

Actually the reason most people put the filter at the end is because it works better that way. They work better having the air forcibly blown through them rather than sucked through them.

    Better Hydroponic Nutrients

A stronger immune system means a stronger plant with less chance of it being slowed down by whatever problems might strike. A minor problem often won't really become visible before the plant overcomes it, but the effort it took to fight it off steals resources that could have been used to grow...

Advanced Nutrients - Organic Soil, Input?

I've always found FF worked a lot better in soil than it does in hydro. They say it's made for hydro too but it's pretty clear they care more about soil performance. So in my book it's not quite fair to compare FF to Advanced Nutrients. I mean the AN stuff is better across the board, but in...

Sour Diesel Update: 7 Weeks Flowering, Tips?/Hints, 1000w, 1st Time Grow

It's good to check your pH and ppm frequently. You can definitely do well without that, but it's easier to avoid problems when you can see them coming from farther away. Get a Bluelab Truncheon. They're pricey but you can't beat them. Anything else has to be calibrated. Those you just rinse...
