i will do like you said and get the dimmable ballasts so i can start with 600's and easily boost up to 1000's later on. ill have to figure out exactly where the grow will be taking place and plan accordingly to figure out the temps, thank you guys

or, what if i was to put an AC in the room where the tents are to cool the room down so its not sucking up hot air?

i will look into that. i'm trying not to damage the room i'm growing in. i could vent out of a window but wouldn't that look weird to the neighbors lol. hmm if i end up in a basement maybe i could just run duct to the other side of the basement so its not sucking up the same air again.

using a hood like this i will still have heat issues inside the tent?

Haven't picked a strain yet, i have access to a few strains of clones one being Jack Herer which peaked my interest. also have access to lemon skunk, AK47, chem dog, shark bite, candy island. ill have to look into venting out then didnt think it would be enough heat to get a whole room hot...

i feel silly for not noticing that 49" light in a 48" tent. duh, see this is why i posted. and that grow light looks much better then the one i had in mind and a few dollars cheaper, thank you very much. any more pointers anyone?
