been running a 750 watt hps bulb in a 400 watt digital ballast for a long time in veg room, havent noticed any difference in growth compared to a 400 watt bulb. seems like the same thing as running a dimmable ballast. thr 750 watt bulb centers better in my cool tube than a short 400 watt bulb.

Ok I've done test run w/ light and all fans running. Room stayed at 73. Tent was sucking the sides in a bit so I opened the 3 passive intakes at the bottom of tent. Is this ok?? Also I decided to push the air across the light and I'm using insulated duct. Cooltube is cool to the touch AWSOME!!

I will have venalation set up. 4in. Inline fan and filter combo. I've had great results with cfls as long as I keepem 1-2 in, from plants.I've just heard so many good things from switchin to hps. Think maybe ill give it a try. I can pick up a 400w hps and reflector off ebay for around 200-300 bucks.
