    Topping and FIM'ing

First, thanks for being respectful and not just going H.A.M. on a disagreement. I like to share my findings as well as compare others. That all said, you have a dope looking grow. No pun intended. The roots snow that you use higher quality nutes than I do. I'm still using up the general hydro...

    Topping and FIM'ing

"Dolly" is my first clone to ever root. She's crooked because I was experimenting with bends. It failed. But she straightened up. The right side is after the harvest (clearly).. All those branches had apex colas. She only vegged for 3 weeks because the crooked stalk made it a hassle to prop up...

    Topping and FIM'ing

I started like you, vegetables, houseplants, aloe, fruit bushes, and general landscaping. The same principle applies when you're removing "suckers" from tomato plants. These fans are like the suckers. It's just plant mass. I love that this species IS so resilient. Because when I started out I...

    Topping and FIM'ing

If you have good light source and sufficient well balancednutrients, the fans are pretty useless.

    Topping and FIM'ing

When you cut at the base of the internode, those vegetative shoots get the nutes needed to advance. Eventually the fan leaves under those nodes start to wither as the auxiliary shoots convert to apical shoots, until you top again. Cannabis has a fractal pattern, it repeats in every vegetative...

    Topping and FIM'ing

If the fans are HUGE I cut it. I figure it's that big because of nutrient transfer. A few days after I do that the node from that site Shoots out and starts growing its own nodes! You can train from there (screen, tie down, etc.). The nodes with the fan still intact under them will grow slower...

    Topping and FIM'ing

I think topping and FIM'ing is overrated and slows down growth. I find it more efficient to just remove fan leaves and let those sprouts grow out into mains. The earlier in the veg stage you do it the more out of control they grow so be mindful and time it.

    Cheap DIY ebb & flow

Before I moved it to the fill drain system, I had it in this small 1 gallon Dwc to start. Did some trimming/training.

    Anyone ever use Homemade nutrients?

I just got my seedlings grown enough to put in the fill/drain today. It's on the General hydroponics brand nutes now. When I change out the solution I'll try the home remedy shit.

    Anyone ever use Homemade nutrients?

Word. I'm not growing dirt either! Lol. I composted all this year. Big pile out back, and a tub of worms in the garage. The idea is to steep the worm castings and use that solution (tea) in the fill/drain tub.

Serious AK47... Anyone have it recently?

Yea man. I grew two from seed. There was barely a high to be had. Cured the same method as my og kush but still no high from it. Just sleepiness. So that's what I have it for..

    Anyone ever use Homemade nutrients?

From my research I found that making compost tea is how to do it. I already have a compost pile. So I used some and mixed in the MMJ clippings. When it's broken down I'll steep it in water for a week and strain through a chinoi. I'd have to strain it a few times to make sure the hoses and pumps...

    Anyone ever use Homemade nutrients?

I shoulda mentioned that I use a dwc system indoors. I do grow other veggies and fruits on the property. I compost all useable scraps to use on them. That takes forever to be useable. I Guess what I want to know is if there's any experience in somehow liquifying compost? Into useable dwc nutes?

    Anyone ever use Homemade nutrients?

Is ewc a brand? I just googled it and some other type shit came up. I want to try a completely homemade nutrient mix but don't know where to start. There're so many options on what cannabis needs I don't want to make some "tea" and it stunt or kill my girls.

    Anyone ever use Homemade nutrients?

there's a few dyi recipes for nutrients using organic food scraps that would normally go into a compost pile. Or using worms castings to make compost tea. Has anyone ever used these methods? If so how can you tell or test what npk levels are?
