Best setup for yield in my situation?

Rdwc would require me to build my own system correct? What's the best/easiest way to build it, and where can I find a good tutorial? Also, to the other reply, if I did a scrog how tall would I put the net over the plants (how big before they hit the net), and would any other training be...

Best setup for yield in my situation?

So here's the deal.. I have a room that's about 14ft x 9ft. I can only grow 12 plants total. Maybe 18. I want to go for maximum yield. Keep in mind I'm running 4x1000w and I cannot add any more lights, so that's it. I prefer Hydro.. What's the best kind of system I should run? Right now I'm...

Does a closed-room CO2 setup need air exchange? (intake or exhaust)?

Its a ebb and gro (55gal rest/2.5gal buckets I believe). Anyway, mid to upper 70s temp, and 40-60 percent humidity which fluctuates a little. This is with co2 and ac in a closed room. Oh and they flood every 4 hours for 15 minutes at a time.. The only thing I can think of is every once in a...

    Ender's 4,000w Hydro 12-site (6x White Russian, 5x G13xHaze, 1x PurpleWreck) + CO2!

FriendlyCaregiver - Its an 18w commercial air1 pump, it puts out plenty of oxygen to an 8 inch air disc in the reservoir. On top of that i run a 2800gph water circulation pump, as well as a water chiller. So all of that in combination creates plenty of aeration. In response to your other...

Does a closed-room CO2 setup need air exchange? (intake or exhaust)?

They look brown. lol thats about all there is to see. Its hard to even get access to them because their buried and tied into the hydroton pebbles. But theres nothing really to show except some mostly-brown roots. I just wish i could get a straight answer with scientific reasoning, as to why i...

Does a closed-room CO2 setup need air exchange? (intake or exhaust)?

Well i know the roots consume O2, but i wasnt sure about the leafs consuming O2 because afterall, they produce their own O2 as a biproduct of photosynthesis.. Anyway, you said "as long as the room is not stale and has o2 in it" that i should be good without any intake or exhaust. But the fact is...

    Ender's 4,000w Hydro 12-site (6x White Russian, 5x G13xHaze, 1x PurpleWreck) + CO2!

alanboy420 - Weird! haha.. must be in the genes or something.. Osburn - I am not growing in any kind of DWC or quasi-DWC system.. not sure where you got that idea from. I am actually growing in the EXACT same ebb&flow bucket system you are describing, except i am using the 2gal buckets (not the...

Does a closed-room CO2 setup need air exchange? (intake or exhaust)?

Ive heard that the plants need fresh O2 at night in order to respire (breathe in O2) while they arent actively getting CO2 and photosynthesizing.. Is there any truth to this?

Does a closed-room CO2 setup need air exchange? (intake or exhaust)?

I dont know lol i agree that they dont.. BUT-- I keep getting mixed answers all over the place. Some people agree, but others say different. That i need to exhaust the stale air from time to time, or that i need to bring in fresh air at night.. etc.. So i dont know wtf to believe anymore.

Does a closed-room CO2 setup need air exchange? (intake or exhaust)?

So do they need air intake, exhaust, or exchange or any kind, at night or any other time, whatsoever, in a closed room setup?

Does a closed-room CO2 setup need air exchange? (intake or exhaust)?

Coho - Where did you get this information? and why do you think they would need O2 at night? They breathe in CO2 and produce their own O2.. And at night, they sleep. So why would they need O2 at night?

    Ender's 4,000w Hydro 12-site (6x White Russian, 5x G13xHaze, 1x PurpleWreck) + CO2!

upinthemguts - I think you've got a good idea there, about raising it with a brick or something while the roots are short, and then lowering it once the roots grow out long enough to reach the water at the normal level. I just wonder if beneficial bacteria would be able to colonize at the...

Does a closed-room CO2 setup need air exchange? (intake or exhaust)?

psillysimon - I agree that CO2 is more of a help during bloom, but TRUST ME, running it during veg DOES make a difference.. You will see WAY faster growth, WAY thicker stems, and WAY more uniform growth - and everything is bigger (the leafs and nodes and stems etc). So using CO2 during veg will...

Does a closed-room CO2 setup need air exchange? (intake or exhaust)?

and again, you say it should get fresh air when its not getting co2, but my question is WHY? i want a scientific answer or reasoning behind why you think that.. because for one, the plants produce their own oxygen lol..

Does a closed-room CO2 setup need air exchange? (intake or exhaust)?

My air isnt sitting, its got plenty of circulation fans. I stated that already.

Does a closed-room CO2 setup need air exchange? (intake or exhaust)?

psillysimon - some of the info youre giving makes no sense! first off, the plants themselves produce oxygen! so why would they need fresh oxygen at night? Youre giving them CO2 during the day, and none at night. But at that point, my CO2 levels have dropped back down to normal. Bottom line is...

Does a closed-room CO2 setup need air exchange? (intake or exhaust)?

patrickkawi - thanks for your input. i agree srh2006 is posting un-needed bogus info with no reasoning. If anybody else can please give me an answer, i would appreciate as much feedback as possible.

Does a closed-room CO2 setup need air exchange? (intake or exhaust)?

My growroom is a closed-room setup. Aircooled, CO2 enrichment, and a well-aerated reservoir. I have been getting mixed answers to the following question: Do i need to have any kind of air-exchange/renewal, fresh intake, or exhaust? Please, if you do not know the answer, dont reply. However, i...

    Ender's 4,000w Hydro 12-site (6x White Russian, 5x G13xHaze, 1x PurpleWreck) + CO2!

Upinthemguts - Yes i can lower my flood level by putting something under all my buckets to raise them. However i think the best way to do this would be for me to just plant my rockwool clones higher up in the bucket so the water doesnt touch them. Because right now, they are buried a couple...

    Ender's 4,000w Hydro 12-site (6x White Russian, 5x G13xHaze, 1x PurpleWreck) + CO2!

Its almost exactly 50% humidity in the room. Yes im sure there is enough oxygen in my water. Im using an 18w commercial air1 airpump and an 8 inch airdisc, as well as a 2800gph water circulation pump, and a chiller. All of which contribute to my very well-aerated reservoir.
