Stick your finger 1"-1.5" in the dirt. If its not moist and its dry, you need to water. You'll start to look at the plant and know if it needs it or not. Over watering is bad.. So dont do that. Especially if you dont have good drainage.

Some strains have more of a fluffy bud structure also while others have more of a dense bud structure. So that plus the nutes..... You get the idea.
