Dyna-Gro vs General Hydroponics (Dumpster Grow)

hb, are you using co2 at all? How important is it to add it into the flowering stage? For my first grow I am thinking of attempting it but I'm a tad intimidated. Not sure if I should try one of those bucket systems are just bare down and buy a tank.

Dyna-Gro vs General Hydroponics (Dumpster Grow)

HB, Man this is soo ridiculously educational! I was completely dumbfounded while trying to figure out what nutes to purchase for my first grow. By chance you answered my question in the noob section a few weeks ago and from there I stumble onto your comparison. Its good to see that you not...

Which brand root stimulant.. Atami B*Cuzz OR Green Fuse?

Thank you again for breaking that down for me. Makes perfect sense. I will save the money on the conditioner and just soak in water that has the ph between what you suggested. (I think I got the 5.5 off a retail site suggesting that for soil.) I will just pick up that stimulant for use once the...

Which brand root stimulant.. Atami B*Cuzz OR Green Fuse?

sm315 - Thank you! I didnt think I was going to get a straight answer. So really, I could just soak the rockwool in ph 5.5 water. I do not necessarily need the conditioner? I could then use root stimulant during my feeding process once they get going?

Which brand root stimulant.. Atami B*Cuzz OR Green Fuse?

I guess I am just confused on the difference between rockwool conditioner and root stimulant. From my research it seems like you could use one or the other to prep your blocks for new seedlings or clones. Green fuse has rockwool conditioner but I also seen a youtube clip where Atami B*Cuzz used...

Which brand root stimulant.. Atami B*Cuzz OR Green Fuse?

Hello, I am just a few parts away from starting my first grow and would like to get some opinions on what brand of root stimulant I should use. I managed to narrow my choices down to Atami B*Cuzz and Green Fuse's brand of root stimulant. I am leaning toward trying Atami B out since I like...

Good number of plants under a 430W HPS?

Thanks for the insight. I'm going to look into going with a 600w light. Glad you mentioned the T5 flours. I was a little confused on what kind of florescent lights to use for veg. I'm looking into getting either 2 4 foot fixtures that have 2 bulbs each or 1 4 foot that has 4 bulbs. I figured...

Nutrients for a beginner hydroponic setup

Awesome! I was getting a bit overwhelmed but learning a lot from reading the different manufacturer sites and trolling threads. I'm leaning toward the Dyna Gro since there are less steps to take. I've also been reading up on Humbolt Nutrients Grow, Micro, Bloom products. More than likely I...

Nutrients for a beginner hydroponic setup

Homebrewer, Thanks a million for your suggestion. So if I am understanding you correctly, I could use Dyna-Gro's FoliagePro 9-3-6 for my vegetative stage and the LiquidBloom 3-12-6 for the flowering stage? This sounds like something I will look into and use. Thanks again.

Nutrients for a beginner hydroponic setup

I am going bonkers with trying to find what nutrients to use for my first hydroponic grow. (First grow of any kind) For my flowering setup I am using a top feed drip system for my mothers and clones. The 3X3 flood table sits above a 25 gallon res. My flowering setup is a 4X4 ebb flood/drain...

Good number of plants under a 430W HPS?

Thanks man. Yeah, mainly cost for right now until I move into a house. Since this will be my first grow, I just don't know what to expect bill wise. I did not want to rack up a high bill nor raise any brows. I think I will look into some good 600w HPS lights and give it some good thought. I'd...

Good number of plants under a 430W HPS?

I am in the process of building my first grow room and have a question regarding the light source for the flowering section. I know this is pretty vague since various strains will grow differently but I am wondering how many plants can I grow in a 4X4 space using a 430W Son Argo bulb. My...
