Hopefully this hasnt been answered already but how are the res's changed. Are you just draining out the bottom and topping off trough the top?

Curious on starting down the rdwc road to put a screen over the setup. How in the world do you change a res in a rdwc setup. Seems hard to completely drain the res since the water is disbursed to and from buckets...?

I've been interested in going down the recirculating dwc route. Question is, how do you change the water in a sys like this? Seems like with the water rushing around you could never drain completely...?

Wait, sorry man, I mean... since you said "No Rockwool/rooterplug".. what is used to keep the plants up. You just stick them down in the hydroton? I was meaning stable as in how the plant is standing up in the hydroton balls with nothing else when they start.

Bless the net! I am considering building some bubbleponic setups using 2 spare 25 gal storage containers. I got a little confused when I seen some other setups using a top feed drip line. Once the roots are into the nutrient supply, what keeps the plants from over feeding? Do they just draw up...

Whoa! I take it thats what you are currently using? Do you ever have to pull the plastic up to check the roots or anything? (Excuse the ignorance...I'm guessing you probably wouldn't have to?) And your blocks are just sitting in the tray with nothing else...correct? Fresh setup!
