One would think cfls are cooler? HPS conduct a lot of heat, i thought. Along with the closeness? I believe cfls have the HPS beat unless theres a cool tube.

Honestly I'm on the same boat as you so I'm sub'd! And ready to see some opinions, I'm leaning towards cfls tho only because I've been using them up till now. But have you thought bout using two 70w hps? Low heat, heard its lower heat then a 200watt cfl..
