You can't see the autos from this perspective - they're at the front. All the other plants seem to like the growing conditions.

I think the picture kinda speaks for itself. There's snow outside and I never heard of a strain of cannabis that can grow in sub freezing temperatures. It's greenhouse glass, so it lets in more UV than regular glass, but if you want to hammer your point that the plant is growing in "a window"...

Thank you! The harvest was a lot of work but well worth it! I was only hoping to get an ounce or so from the autos to make some tincture. I've gotten into making gummies and I found a great recipe on YouTube if anyone is interested.

    That's not a window - that's my 800 square foot greenhouse.

Thank you for weighing in. Interesting references to skirts and bikinis. The temperature in my greenhouse is usually in the mid 70's-80's during the day, 60 at night, but the upper sashes are on a thermostat and when the sun hits them they can open even on a cold day. That's worse for my orchids...

OK thanks - you're referring to the white flecks. I was curious about that, although I can't see anything on the underside of the leaves, but it doesn't seem to be bothering the plants at all. Thank you for that explanation. I just got a better light that I'm planning to use in a few weeks when...

I am new to growing auto flowering cannabis. Tried a few plants on my patio over the summer and was kinda amazed by how they grew and flowered all at the same time. However, I did not realize that they should not be potted up, which I did do and I was advised that that's why they were so little...

    How long does pollination take?

Thanks - appreciate the info. My set up is not in a tent which is why I'm getting nervous about all the pollen floating around. I've never tried this before and I don't grow indoors - always outdoors in the summer.

    How long does pollination take?

Thank you! I haven't seen any change in the female other than she's still making pistols. But from what you're saying, I could ditch the males and as her buds get bigger they should be full of seeds, in a few weeks.

    How long does pollination take?

I'm trying to make some seeds so I have a female cutting and 2 males cuttings (from the same father) and they're all flowering. I put them together in their own room one week ago. I have gently shaken the males and seen the pollen wafting to the female. How long do I need to keep the males with...

trying to make some new seeds

I'm running out of time with this female. There are pistols, but it's taking its sweet time to really flower. I'm going away mid October, 6 weeks from tomorrow, and I've read it takes about 6 weeks for seeds to mature. I guess fewer, mature seeds is better than lots of immature seeds. There...

trying to make some new seeds

Well that is a shame. I can't speak for my neighbors who may or not be growing, but I will continue to grow outdoors in the summer. You can relax - I'm nowhere near south Florida.

trying to make some new seeds

Thank you! The female that I want to pollinate has been making pistols for around 2 weeks and I would say it is starting to flower for real now. In response to SouthFloridaGenetics - I was thinking/hoping that my patio is far enough away from where my big female photo period plants are growing...

trying to make some new seeds

Can anyone explain why you shouldn't let a male pollinate a female before she's been flowering for at least 3 weeks? What happens if pollination occurs earlier than that?

trying to make some new seeds

Thank you very much! I don't have any big males to cut a branch from - just the little cuttings that are admittedly a little stunted. But I guess my biggest take away is that I do need to wait until my little female is well into flowering before allowing the males to fertilize her.

trying to make some new seeds

I tried topping some plants from seeds I has purchased this year (thank you to Boatguy for sharing a link to Uncle Ben's Topping Technique!) I tried to root the cuttings from the topped plants and got one to survive. So then I cloned one of my plants I had identified as male. Of course, the...

    Hermaphrodites

Follow up - yeah I pulled those plants a few days after that last post. Happy surprise was that 2 of the plants I put in the tomato bed were female, which I wasn't expecting. All plants are in flowering mode now.

    Hermaphrodites

Thanks to all who have weighed in. I appreciate your thoughts. I have tried removing male flowers from hermaphrodites in the past - it's always been a losing proposition. But I'm stubborn so I cut some of the male-looking branches this morning and left them to grow for a while longer. Nothing is...

    Hermaphrodites

My seeds came about from friends giving me seeds over the years from their weed (obviously not sensimilla). And I'm pretty good at sexing the plants early in the season, but in 2016 I got it wrong. I had what I thought were all female plants growing out back and we went on vacation (the pet...
