I very much doubt that those plants have started to show sex, do a tad more research on sexing your plant, plus you are going to want more light when you decide to flower. Also the plant looks a tad unhealthy, cant really tell from pic but may be overwatering

So it has been awhile since this was posted, did you find a bulb you perfer? I am grabbing the 600w dimmable, i have been readeing some posts that said they had fixed this problem... but i dont want to spend 150$ on bulbs to have them blow thanks in advance

mcpurple my question is how would you know if the reading was accurate? if the color is altered it will give you a different result..... i actually tried to see before i posted this, this is what i did poured 6.2 ph water into soil tested sample with a mettler toledo sg2 ph meter then tested...

it will be nearly impossible to get a good read of your soils ph with a color chart as the soil will color the water altering the chart!!! those ph tests are designed for testing clear water

If you are low on money and just want to use what you have you can.

I dont use any nutrients till my plant has at least 4 nodes, ( usually ) all plants grow differently. But i would reccomend not using that soil until the 4th or 5th node. i use a good quality potting soil and mix it with vermiculite and perlite. You can start your seedlings or clones in nothing...

this will not effect your plants in a negative way, preferably you would want to start your seedlings off without nutrients at all. You may need to supplement some nutrients as you go along though to get the best results you will want to try to give the plant the max amount of nutes it will take

to much heat? even with 2x 6" fans and air cooled reflectors also the reflectors have a heat shield, i am pretty sure i am going with another 400w instead of the 600w, there is also a 6" intake fan located near the floor to bring in cool fresh air
