I've never heard of that. I thought they were on the entire time the lights were on. Couldn't I just hook it up to a separate timer and have it go on and off like every hour, or whatever the recommended time is?

So I'm ordering 2 inline fans, I was just wondering if I should keep it on them on the same timer as my ballasts.

I planned on buying dimmable ballasts so I think thats what I'm going to do for the first grow, then move up in the second grow.
