You certainly can get enough CFLs for 4 plants inexpensively. You will want 6500k(blue) for vegging and 2700k(red)for flowering. HPS will give you a larger yield and denser buds but if cash is limited CFLs will get you some smoke. My first grow of two plants cost me around $100 to get going...

I remove it when I see roots which is when I put them in soil. With your situation I think I would remove the pad. Never have used Hydro so unsure what happens next. Good luck and keep us posted.

So far so good. Are those clear plastic cups? If so you might want to change that, light on the roots is not a good thing.

There are several good soils and nutes you can use. I happen to use the Foxfarm line both soil and nutes. I am sure you will get many suggestions on what to use. Figure out what is available to you and how much you want to spend.

I would recommend getting some CFLs and placing them so you can get some light under the canopy. It might be an inexpensive option to your lighting problem.

I find the use of a heating pad will help speed up he process.

Its better to water thoroughly and let the soil dry out between waterings. No more watering daily :)

I agree that PH could be the issue, or maybe Mag deficiency. I would diffently start with PH.

frmrboi has the key. Water completely till there is run off and do not water again till you can dig 2 or 3 inches into the soil and still feel no moisture. Your temperature is also bumping up against the high end so try to bring it down so it is never higher than 85 degrees.

Its fairly risk free to purchase seeds online assuming you use a reputable vendor. I like attitude myself and I live in the US. I know that occasionally customs will find your seeds and take them. The only thing they do is send you a letter letting you know your seeds have been confiscated...
