Thanks dude. They were each topped twice pretty early on. I personally don’t like to top too much with my set up as I get too many weak branches. Would rather have 5-10 beefy colas. Last year I had some pretty serious colas in only 5 gallon pots. We’ll see how these ones do!

lol I know....I started them from seed indoor in March and they’ve been outside since late May. I’ve just got some bamboo stakes for support, not sure what I’m gonna do if they get massive. May try and tie them down or maybe I should top them again?

I grew 3 outdoor plants in 5 gallon pots last year. I can tell you they will eventually need constant watering once or twice daily and lots of nutrients as they will use up all of what’s in the soil pretty quick. Having said that, it is doable and I got a pretty solid harvest of almost 2...

Well I guess it’s time for an update! Got the girls in 20 gallon fabric pots and made a 1/4 irrigation tube soaker hose for each that are set up on a timer. They are pretty big for this early in the season. I guess that’s what happens when you start them indoors in March lol. Purple punch on...

The big guy was definitely male :( Chopped him last week. The purple punch has such a nice bushy shape to it. I’ve topped it twice and I don’t think I’ll do it again. The lemon lava is looking great as well. I’ve topped it once and may do it once more. They’re loving the sun 8)

I was thinking of doing this as well. I ended up putting each pot in a white plastic garbage bag and it seems to be working pretty well. The pots aren’t nearly as hot.

Well I think the big one is definitely a male... The smallest one is a lemon lava clone that I recently snagged. Pretty sure the other is purple punch. They’ve taken really well to being outside full time!

The taller one is definitely showing pre-flowers....girl or boy?? Hard to tell.

Ugh I think one of mine is showing a similar pre-flower....really don't want to have to chop.

The plants have been topped a second time and have hardened off nicely now in full sun for hours each day. Really wanting to get them outside full time, but it looks like we have a few days of rain in the forecast next week! Once that passes they'll be permanently outside. Trying to sex them...

I put them under a tree in partial shade for a few days. Then move them out into direct sun for an hour and increase by another hour each day after that. After about a week or so of doing this and they do fine in full sun .
