    Bump, any experiened outdoor growers who can help me with the situation? This strawberry plant is growing very slow, its 1.5 months old and has only gotten this big. I'm sure it was in shock from the transplant I made from scott's fertilizer, to regular soil.

    Transplant shock, if you start noticing it sags during the day and "rises" at night, or yellowing fan leaves then you need to start babying it. By babying I mean keeping it out of harsh environments like the hot sun and the strong wind. Keep it cooled and mist it alot, it lost alot of root mass...

    Well yes you actually can cut the leaves off once theyve gone yellow...like canefan said it emphasizes growth to the top.

    Is it still considered vegetative state..

    I agree that vegetative state is defined up until the full stature of the plant and its eventual defining traits, while in veg plants produce as much as possible and then switch over, never underestimate your growth period, then they settle in and flower, no rush if you want what I want wait it...

    very nice, im checking up on my babies tommorow...havn't seen them for over a week so hopefully ill be surprised. :) Thats a good spot you got there...i need to take a few pics of mine tommorow because its an awesome spot too.
