i am running a under current RDWC and i have a control bucket on the system that i mix my nutes in that way in my res all i have to keep is straight ph'd water.. it is hooked up to a float valve in my control bucket so it maintains my level in the system to... also it doesn't mess with my ppm's...

Well in all honesty i when i add water to my res i usually just add a little H2O2 and a tbsp of ph down and it is good to go... i control the ph in my system from the control bucket anyways so it doesn't matter too much what my res is at... i keep to airstones though in my res going 24/7 as well...

i do have a buddy using R/O though and i know he adds cal/mg for sure to his water when mixing...

well i built it when it was still summer and it gets very hot where i am.. i can't afford a chiller still and had some water temp issues and ended up getting root rot which led to scrapping 4 plants... but live and learn right? My water now, still without a chiller, is staying around 74 degrees...

yeah that does seem weak, but they are also using 2" pvc so maybe you don't need as much with the bigger tubing, not sure... i am using the 1-1/4" pvc and a 835gph pump that is working just fine...
