    The flush "myth"

Nutrient toxicity= I put the plant under the tap (well water, tested) and run it through my coir for quite a while (5-7 gallons maybe?), then when I am satisfied with the runoff I give the plant a corrected nutrient mixture (not 100% strength, but not far off either) End of cycle flushing: I...

    The flush "myth"

Educate yourself by growing two of the same clones from start to finish, then flush one of them and don't flush the other. I didn't think there was a debate on whether or not to flush, but rather to use flushing agents or not, as well as to pH the water or not. Trial and error has led me...

    Mites need advice

I remember when I was days away from the chop, and infested with mites. Not wanting to use chemicals I used straight water with just the smallest drop of dish soap to break surface tension. Mites do not like water. This will keep them down enough to keep the plant alive and allow your seeds to...

    HeLp! Timer died now what?

Youve probably gone to work at this point, but in retrospect what I would have done is turn the lights off before going to work and created one extensive dark period, rather than letting your lights stay on for 36 hours.

    Does she look ready?

Oh yeah, ready to rock. See how each of your branches have 3-4 nodes? Those will make for some decent colas. And you can expect things to stretch a bit once in flower as well.

Question about flushing and using high-PH tap water

I see where you are going with this, and yes, that's exactly what you can do. That's a long time in 4 gallon pots. it's tempting to recommend transplanting to a slightly larger pot for a week or so before throwing into bloom...

    Beans from 1985

Great post, really curious how they do. Here's my advice: Scuff them if you want, but you could damage/crack the seed. Use the small peat plugs found in gardening stores. Put a half cap of clonex in a gallon of water from a reputable source, then soak the peat plugs until they reach field...

    A day of darkness

I imagine you're fine. I think it would be worse if you're lights hadn't turned OFF.

    Clone Super Sick After Translant

Looks like Mag deficiency. It could be getting locked out, even if your pH is stable...like if your plants are getting too cold at any point during the day or night, or if you don't have proper air exchange around the base of your plants.

    Fast flower strain for outdoor?

Berry Bomb of Bomb Seeds is a fast strain, and very tasty/fruity. Is it Sept 15 fast? Not sure.

A little but of confusion on nutrients for Coco

exactly. your coco nutes should be great for this. i've been using coco for five or six years and have been doing primarily botanicare's line, though i don't claim it's any better than other top brands. just water like you would with soil, and as a plus it will dry out quicker. since all your...

Do you use the FF nutrient line? Have you ever used " sweet " ? <<<<<check me out!!

I've used sweet (original berry usually, but have tried citrus and grape in some trial runs--original berry and grape stood out most for flavor). sweet isn't just for flavor though, it helps keep a regular metabolism for the plant, ultimately leading it to absorb the nutrients easier/quicker...

    Water Tap, Distilled...?

distilled water that you find from the store should be right around neutral at 7. if anything it can run a little acidic if the water is open to the air and can thus absorb some acidic CO2 from the air, so I am surprised by your 7.8 measurement. I like to run my water a little on the acidic...

What's YOUR recipe to get clones pumping after transplant?

Fulvic acid, good call. I used to use Liquid Karma but switched to Nirvana, though now I'm thinking LK would handle the fulvic acid department better. Anybody swear by epsom salts (magnesium sulfate, or products like botanicare's Sweet) at this earlier stage to try to beef up metabolism?

What's YOUR recipe to get clones pumping after transplant?

I was curious if anyone wanted to share their basic recipe for clones that have taken root, mL/g. Not young plants where we all feed them our own concoctions of nutes, but just the little guys, or girls rather, then have just been transplanted after taking root. Personally I've always done...
