I would be afraid of the seed falling through the hydroton and i to the water..... Why not just place a rapid rooter/oasis cube in the hydroton and just place the seed in that?

Oh, not my coco. It's a pellet that expands into loose coco meant for a seed starting tray. It's the only thing I have right now.

Yeah i have the jiffy coir plugs. I've been reading that the coir just falls through the clay and dirties the reservoir and clogs the tubing, etc.

My seed is about to pop and I really want to run my first dwc grow, but my oasis plugs won't be here for another 5 days. Is it possible to start the seedling in coco, and then remove all the coco and just put the seedling by itself in the net pot held in place with the clay balls? Is this a thing?

I also spoke to Kris at Masterblend a few days ago. Very helpful she was. I'm about to start my first dwc grow using it.
