Brown decay on tops of cuttings.

Brown decay on tops of cuttings.

We're trying to back up this summers crop and our cuttings are turning brown and mushy at the tops. They were taken from the field and given a physan 20 dunk before trimming and doing the 45' cut and scrape underwater. Any ideas how to stop this decay? Cheers!
