This is phosphorus deficiency, notice how the leaves turn yellow before turning brown. His leaves aren't yellowing, just turning brown and it starts in the center of the leaves instead of starting at the tips. That's why I say Mg def.

Actually it depends on what you're growing in. In coco you MUST add Cal-mag when feeding because the coco takes in MG and converts it to K. Also if you are using RO water, most of the Ca and Mg have been filtered out so there's a strong concern for deficiencies. Cal-mag definitely has it's place...

That's definitely a deficiency from your ph being too high. I would flush and get some ph down(not vinegar) and adjust to 6.5 and make sure your meter is calibrated. If you don't have a meter I would get one.

Coco is almost impossible to overwater, unlike soil. Cal-mag is a must when growing in coco and more frequent watering schedule is required but yes it's almost as easy as soil. I've grown in both and have had much better results with coco because I CAN water more which means I can feed more too.

Temp sounds good, the leaves that were most affected probably won't regain their color but curling should stop in a few days. The new growth will probably look better within a week :)

The only way the cat can affect them is if he decides to get playful with the leaves or something. Temperature is more important than anything when trying to germinate, keep the temp around 76-80f. Only keep them soaked until they sprout and then just keep moist.

Are you adding cal-mag since you're using RO water? Could be MG deficiency.

Mine always do that in the beginning due to a lot of cal-mag (I grow in coco). They will get over it eventually :)
