glad i could help mate. and yeah baddfrog's right on with the light setup. depends how many plants you want to grow and how much space you have. id recommend investing in a cooltube or easycool reflector as with higher wattage the temps go up pretty damn high. makes it much easier to add an...

Young Plant Problems, Please Help!!! (PICS INCLUDED)

plants do require some hours of darkness for repair/rest, but it wont significantly harm them doing 24/7. i do 18/6 all the way, but 24/7 for a few days after doing a transplant. if however the plant is not in a state to be able to utilize that much light, you wont see too much more happening...

as a temp solution only or for germinating. its not going to provide the full source of light that the plants will begin needing. i wouldn't push a week with it.

Put it as close as you can (give an inch or so of breathing room) such that the temp doesn't go over 80f.

Depending on the power you want it several inches away. Higher power > further away. It should be just past the point where the radiating heat falls on the leaves. If you can try to reflect some of the light not above the plant over to the plant at least hiding its sides.

    Light cycle got messed up!

i don't think it can revert back into vegging state, at least not in less than a week. just switch it back to its normal lighting hours.

how many? (roughly 1450-1600 lumens ea i believe) i used a t5 for germination too, but growth was stunted after getting into the vegetative stage. at this point i would attribute more of the problems i was having to poor soil and small pot size. a 400watt mh produces roughly 30k lumens, while...

    Is It Female?

yeah thats what they appear to be turning into at this point. just got a little ahead of myself given this influx of growth. i am curious though as to why topping is recommended so much. my plant is branching out at nearly exponential rate (still slow due to growth time but each node is...

not seeing this tumbling, but perhaps i was not clear enough. seedlings can be grown in very low nute soil to the point where it hits the vegging stage, which happens to be pretty early on. this was the only point i was making there, and in fact you just backed me up again by reiterating what i...

    Is It Female?

Its been in 18/6 this whole time too. There's been a huge increase in growth the past week so I had my hopes up. Could still end up a girl maybe, its certainly not overly tall so who knows.

by ton i meant consistent like 18/6, not spotty by moving it around in actual sunlight patches. also i noted that it should not be too close as to radiate a lot of heat onto the plants. not disagreeing with you, your just backing me up. my plant is growing an inch all around almost daily and...
