The price is high because of the namebrands. Solistek ballasts are intense, seen quite a few in the industry lately. DR tents are well known and reputable aswell. I'd go quality over price any day.

I'd say either 2 1000W's or 3 600's, $1000 isn't enough money for a room that size bro. $1000 will get you a 4x4 tent setup.
