    Rough Night lol

So i had just finished my exams for another semester and a bunch of friends and I headed downtown to the bars to celebrate.. this city is pretty small (~120,000) and i'd never thought somethin like this would happen.. but.. as we were leavin the bar and headed to the busses, we saw a little...

    Stretching Solution?

that solution should work, worth a try anyways.. its a little tougher situation in rockwool than soil but the seedling will need some support if it's stretched. joe- a buried stem will act almost like a cutting/clone in soil.. it shouldn't rot

    The Buzz ?????

fresh uncured bud will smoke harsher but the quality will still be roughly the same as cured bud.. curing doesnt induce the couchlock stone, thats more dependent on strain/length of flowering if you're low on bud, u can smoke the fresh stuff, you'll love it.. if you have extra bud on hand, let...

    Would You Harvest Or Not?

Although those buds do look pretty tasty, i would wait a little longer to harvest, as they arent quite ready yet.. those trich's will tell u when to harvest so just keep a close eye

CFL for veg/clone cabinet. how many and how close.

2 lights will produce sufficient light for clones in an area that size, 1 light in a reflective area will create also produce enough light to sustain the clones during the first week-10 days

For All: How Much Money Have You Spent This Year?

600W HPS soil setup (i have a hydro setup, just dont use it).. spent ~800-900$ for everything.. grow room construction, seeds, ventilation, hydro equipment etc. (canadian)

    Prepping for First Grow

Yes, smaller plants are due to a shorter veg period.. the longer you veg, the more bud you will harvest.. the trade-off you mentioned isnt totally correct, as seedlings take 3 solid weeks to grow a plant 'worthy' of flowering (imo).. but if you wait 3 more weeks, that plant will be so much...

    adjusting to the outdoors..

I've seen several threads/questions lately that are asking if plants started indoors need an adjustment period outside, or if they should be set outside for 'x' amount of hours a day before being put into full outdoor conditions, etc. From experience, i've never had problems with plants being...

How to properly introduce clones from indoor 24hrs of light to outdoor greenhouse ?

If you are looking to get them back to veg, dont wean them at all. How many hours of sun are you getting right now? be sure that its enough or they will stay in flower.. i've never had a problem with plants adjusting from inside to outside conditions.. as long as stems are strong and...

    Prepping for First Grow

    1) I think that getting some fem seeds is a good idea in your case.. look around the seedbanks, there are some cheap fem seeds (sold in packs of 5) on the market if you're trying to keep costs minimal 2) Since this is your 1st grow, go with soil, as aero/hydro is better suited for an...

Please does anyone have a brain i can pick ?

as email stated, if you dont know how old the bulb is, might be a good idea to purchase a new one.. you will notice a difference in intensity between new and old.. (if you plan on having more than one grow, why not? you will need a new bulb eventually..) just because the mother was a hermie...

    possible hermie question...

just by taking a gander at the title, your not sure if its a hermie?? u should have a REAL good idea if it is or not by now.. anyways.. when you pluck off a calyx after 7 weeks of flowering, you should know if there's a seed in there or if its just the calyx itself.. during mid-late...

    flushing ?

my advice would be to start flushing around 1 week from harvest.. but theres a large range of when to flush, if your soil drains/drys fast, you could prolly wait and flush <1 week before harvest.. if your soil dries/drains slowly, you'd be better to flush earlier.. flushing a few days early...

    11 days old quick question

You could probably get another week out of those cups no problem.. sometime around 3 weeks you will need to transplant into a bigger pot, i'd say a 2 gal pot with a similar mix of soil/additives that you used in the first pot and your all set.. :peace:

    cloning

couple tips, you've probably read them tho.. label the clones.. if your using rockwool, let the cubes sit for a day in water, give em one good shake before inserting clone.. use clean/fresh blades..etc, etc. in reality, everyone has different cloning techniques, from clone size to actual...

    starting seeds in soil?

oh ya, it works, 5 days or so and you should see sprouts.. don't let the soil dry out, that'll be your 'biggest' problem

    reflector question

If my math is correct, and you flower at 18'' in a 6 ft room, you will be more than in the clear.. 3x is quite a growth spurt, u growing some real sativa's eh? (pun not intended).. even if they do stretch, you have lots of room to tie down so they dont burn.. size should not be a restraint...

    Lower Soil PH?

i've always had problems lowering pH, and in my experiences.. sawdust/peat moss wont work to a great extent, its a nice buffer, but to actually lower soil pH, i wouldnt trust it, you lose too much soil nutrients.. the 'pH down' from Walmart was also useless.. 'a few drops' does absolutely...
