My father is getting ready to cut his girls down, and his friend told him to keep the smaller buds still on the stalk and cut higher than those, and in a few days to a week you will get about an oz off of those smaller ones.. Any truth to this? Any thoughts?

I am using CFL's about a foot away.. Using City water, I let it sit for a few days and them put my PH down in it to get it to about 6 I will look into the lucas formula...
