because then you will have to deal with the heat issues from a HID light set-up. The CFL's will not give off the same amount of heat, therefore be easier for new growers to deal with. Oh, and the standard 60w light bulb is about as beneficial to the plant as a candle. I wouldn't bother.

we have cuts (1/8's) round here on the east coast, US. They run anywhere from $50 US to $75 US for nugs, depending on quality. Schwag usually varies but I used to get zips for a little over $100.

I always switch lights when I change cycles. I do 24 hours dark after veg, then switch to my HPS light for 12/12. The quick change in spectrum helps the plants recognize that it is time to start flowering. At least that is what I've read. Some people claim that plants show sex faster this way...

I dunno...but I don't think that the HID's have anything to do with it. If there was a problem there, you would have noticed it a lot earlier then 5 days.

Probably not going to know much about it until it starts flowering. Post more pics as it progresses, and maybe someone will recognize some similar traits.

How is your Ph? It almost looks like it could be early stages of iron or zinc deficiency

I would water them, you can always give them an extra day or so before harvesting. Nice looking colas though man.

The large fan leaves usually yellow and die from the bottom up during flowering. The plant realizes it is nearing the end of it's life cycle. Just as long as it isn't happening too fast.
