    wilting plant comeing back

Well all I can tell you is that the plants quit wilting and are bouncing back very nice. The light was a shock. Could be due to the fact that it was only one 2 foot flor 20w they were under, but the meter would only reg. 300 when the sensor was held on the flor itself. the HPS holding the meter...

    wilting plant comeing back

I was told by another grower that if you have your plants under a low level light, and then strait into a HPS or High output. It can shock the plant. If the plants were doing well under the 300 meter reading They should be ok under the 500 it is receiveing now. I will see how they do in a week...

I may have found another problem that I was doing wrong. I had bought a used timer. It works fine, I just did not understand how to use it. It has a ring of buttons to pull up and I thought that you would pull up one button for the time you wanted off and one for the time on. I did not realize...

    Help!!!

Well I have done some research, and others have had the same problem. Plants that are not used to HPS and have been under FLOR. can wilt. Just as they can wilt if grown inside and then taken out side. I hope they recover. I also raised the light about 4 feet above the plants. The meter now shows...

    Help!!!

There was a catch tray and I would empty it out after the drainage was done. The temp runs about 72 to 78. One thing that has changed is the light. I put a light meter under the 20w floresence and it regested 300 to 400. I put the meter under the new HPS light at the plant level and it regesters...

    top leaves wilting

I also moved the light so it is about a foot above the plants, put in a small fan, and moved the plants to the bulb end of the light instead of the balast. I did not pay attention to which end the bulb was on. I drained all the extra water in the catch dish and will let it dry for 3 days.

    top leaves wilting

I will move the light closer, but I just watered again. I doug my finger 3 inches and it was as dry as could be. Not one pc. of soil would stick to my finger. It was as clean as when I put it in. The soil is not that great. It was cheap soil with no nutes or pete. It does not hold the water so...

here are a couple of photos one before the wilting and one after. The wilt does not seem to be continuing. Is it from over watering? I do not have a fan on them, but the temp stays between 75 and 81.

    day over day photos

I have a couple of photos of my plants day over day. I noticed that a couple of the leaves started to look like they were getting a ting of yellow again. The only thing I did was water them around the outside of the pot instead of near the stem. I may have pushed some of the plant food down that...
