I am just wondering if anyone has ever tried this or knows something about it. So the question is: Can you use an MH grow light for flowering? Say for example a 400w MH. Just looking for input :leaf:

When the light is too far away, your plant will grow a lot in height. Usually appearing skinny with nodes that are spaced far apart.

If it were, me. I'd wait a week then put it up. Try not to stretch that seedling though before or after you put it up. Your measurements sound just like the size of my grow box.

You could probably put up the HPS now. As long as you don't have it too close to the seedling. How many watts is your HPS? As for nutes, wait a couple weeks. Start at 1/4 strength and see how she responds.

Looks like a calyx. A few days or sooner and you might be seeing hairs. That is how mine showed up. It just showed sex yesterday. They don't look like pollen sacs, I would wait a couple more days to be sure though. GL.

Did you start from seed? If so, are they auto-flowering? If they are auto's you can leave the lights on 18/6..18/6? huh never heard of that anyway. 12/12 is for photo period plants that need the 12/12 setting to go into flower. I have read that you should trim before flowering, and most likely...

haha...hmm I keep looking at the back of the tums bottle and it actually is looking like not such a bad idea. The only two active ingredients in it are calcium and less than 1% magnesium. My dilemma got worse after adding epsom salt. More magnesium and less calcium just made the overall...
