get some big 4' parabolic reflectors and you could manage with 3. you could use a 1000w in a 6x6 space and still do well. your reflected light would play a large role if you rely on 3 though.

only cut the roots if they are circling badly. if they are starting to circle but haven't become a large circling mass, just run your fingers over them to get some to pop free. they should be ok to transplant as long as it's not a "rough" one.

i just drilled 2 holes in the duct and slid the eye hole screws from the tube through it and laid the duct on top of the tube.

put the rockwool cubes on a little bed of perlite. let the perlite wick the water to the cube. even if you think the cube isn't soaked, it probably is. if it's in a dome, there is no place for the humidity to go. essentially, the rockwool is absorbing that moisture too. get it out of the water...

nope, no hot spots, and never a burn on the plants. it's a 6" cool tube about 19" long. it's ghetto but it works until i can figure out something better.

for my cool tube i built a reflector from an 8" expanded air duct. the type you fit together yourself to make the pipe. i just spread it out to about 22" with 2 steel dowels to keep the metal arched. it's not perfect, but i can put 1000w 8-10" from the tops of my plants in a 4'x4' closet and...

mine is about 8-10" from the tops of mine. i built a cheap assed reflector to go over the cool tube to help hit spots that woulda been lost with the tiny wings they give ya.
