    2nd attempt is way better

You got a lot of wasted headspace in that box from those pics. Hmmmm. My take on it: If you're switching to a HID light (even with supplimental lighting) you should just let your plants grow straight and true. Less energy wasted recovering from being tied down will equal faster bud times and...

    My very First Grow

I'm looking at pic number 4. At about the halfway point between your fingers, sticking out to the right are what look to be a pair of white "hairs". Autoflowering strains, as their name suggests, automatically flower when their internal clock says so. I believe congratulations may be in...

    New box, New grow

Been too stoned to remember to post. Still need to tighten up my box. Life can be hectic like that sometimes. Hopefully the coming winter will slow external activity and allow me the opportunity to finish this project. Seeing as how next February I'm starting my outdoor organic veggie...

    One Plant Closet Grow

Remember, it's not so much how many bulbs you have or even their wattage...it's how well that light penetrates the canopy of leaves. Look into trying to reflect and reclaim as much of that light spilling out to the side as possible so that the lower buds get some.

    2nd attempt is way better

Hey nitro, lookin pretty good. Next time, try to get that LST even snugger....really tie those suckers down, the girls just love that sweet bondage action, so don't be nice about it. Oh, and hard mount your lights, then lift your plants as needed. At the size you're dealing with, they're light...

    New box, New grow

Well, my craptastic camera needs new batteries...and I can't find the package I just bought, so the pic update isn't very big today. Oh well, the camera doesn't take very good pics anyway...I really wish my photos could do justice to just how beautiful my girls are getting. The trichs are...

my first cfl grow any help very much appreciated.

Absolutely. And remember to check your pH with the runoff, not so much the mixed nutes. That will give you a better idea of the pH changes being caused by your soil. A great organic source of Nitrogen is left over fish bits...heads, scales, guts and that sort of thing. Make tea with it like...

The nutes you see in the last pic of the first post were all bought at my local Wal-Mart supercenter in the garden department. Thanks for stopping by. :peace: Update later today!

The one you removed the LST from and #4 look a bit yellow, like they want some Nitrogen.

Leaf curl, as far as I'm aware, is almost always indicative of a heat issue. A simple way to bring those temps down is to freeze a 3/4 full 20oz bottle of water and set that in front of whatever fan is blowing on the plants...or maybe a bowl of ice water. I think your heat issues will end up...

Same kind of training I'm doing...I've heard it called the Spiral of Green. Hopefully this time I can keep it rolling, and once I get into taking clones, I'll train them further around the pot, ie. veg them longer.

Another day, another update. The girls seem to have stopped growing up and are now growing fat. They look so tasty, I can hardly wait til I can snip the first tester nug. Enjoy the pics! :peace:

Yeah, to get yer LST on, your little babies need some height...and time. You can't just tie them down and say "well, that didn't work". Discipline yourself on patience and return when you're ready to resume your lessons, padawan. :leaf:

There is a difference between just tying a plant down and actual LST. When doing LST the goal is to make the main growth tip lower than any other growth tip. This causes the hormones, auxins I think they are called, to be redistributed throughout the plant which makes lower tips try to grow up...

A quicky pic update today. They're looking great and hopefully this crappy camera will let you see the buds that are popping nicely. They got 4 droppers full of Shultz and 4 drops of Superthrive in a gallon of water this morning.

They look plenty fine now, so I wouldn't sweat your temps too hard. There are tropical genetics that like temps up into the low 90s, so just pay attention and listen to your plant.
