12/12 from seed 5 weeks into flowering schwag bagseed

Yeah, that Russian dude is nuts. He's growing in a small speaker (I think it's a bit smaller than a PC case) and he uses a 70w HPS. His construction work looks very professional and clean. Dr. Bud doesn't ScrOG. He grows "budcicles"...usually single cola plants. He grows in trimmed down 20oz...

ever tried a solo cup grow.

Rather than be labeled a hater for suggesting that what you're doing could be done better, I'm just going to leave you with this link and this link and suggest that this guy might have some stuff to teach you about growing in very small containers. This isn't hate, it's help. Fat bags.

Alrighty. Read through the whole thing again and I hope you don't mind some suggestions. Please take this in the light of "this guy is trying to help improve my grow" and not a "this guy's being a dick insulting my grow". First thing to do is fix that light mounting. Jammed in there at that...

ever tried a solo cup grow.

The watering method is key to growing in small containers. Get party cup, trimmed down 20oz bottle or other small container. Cut drain holes in bottom. When you water, put cup in bigger container like a coffee can or a bucket and fill with water/nutes until root/dirt mass is totally submerged...

    Just a couple of questions....

Well, sounds a little ghetto, but it should work. We're growing a weed after all, we don't exactly need to treat them like orchids. Try putting a bigger ac adapter on that fan...something more like 9 to 12 volts. The little 80mm fans need 9 I'm pretty sure to run full power. That's some...

more cfl watts or more cfl bulbs?

The 26 watt and 42 watt are the most cost effective. And it's much better to tune the efficiency of the rest of your grow than to just jam more bulbs in. Make sure your ventilation, soil, reflectivity, pH, humidity, feeding regimie, etc are all at 100% before you start sticking in more bulbs...

    Bagseed closet Stealth grow

If you can, tuck the leaves back rather than cutting them off...but if there's no other way, clip them. Your plant will be fine as long as you don't remove too much at once.

    New box, New grow

I used one coat of regular interior white primer and two coats of plain interior flat white matte finish house paint. The training is just Low Stress Training (LST). I use breadties to tie the main trunk and any branches that get too tall around the outside edge of the pot. Doing this will...

    How many CFLS really?

You folks are nuts. More isn't always automatically better. With CFLs it's all about efficiency. Make use of every photon your bulbs produce. Make sure your box is reflective. Get a good reflector hood for the bulbs. Keep the bulbs close. Train your plants to open them to the light...

    New box, New grow

Flower box is currently empty. :( But the veg room is doing awesome, and having the flower box down gives me a chance to work on it. The next round of flowering is coming in a few days to a week or so, and it's looking to be another exciting run. :joint: Go back to post #15 and look at pic...

Cfl grow can you experts help me out

My advice? At the very least read the stickied threads in this forum before asking any more questions. Curl up with a spliff and the FAQ (big button at top of page) for a night or three. Read til your eyes bleed, bro, it'll do your grow good.

    2nd attempt is way better

I think your clone issue may be, oddly enough, too much light. For those first couple of formative days, they need like a single 23w CFL. I'm not certain of the science, but I know fresh clones don't like full strength lighting.

    Bagseed closet Stealth grow

Absolutely, but the supercropping (stem crushing) is useful regaurdless of training method. It strengthens the stem so it can hold heavier buds and the internal structure opens up so the stem can carry more water and stuff up and down the stem. Oh, and the watering method isn't a flush. It...

    Pink weed!!

That pic looks like what's growing in my box. Bagseed can sometimes turn up some wonderful genetics.

    First grow. PC case

For a PC grow, a couple of PC fans should be fine, but as you found out, don't overpower them. You can wire 2 together onto any old 12v wall wart like an old cell phone charger, then plug them into a regular outlet. If your box is well sealed otherwise, those two fans along with some passive...

    Pre-flowers?

I just remembered that it might also be an autoflowering variety which will bud even under 24 hour lighting iirc.

12/12 from seed 5 weeks into flowering schwag bagseed

Superthrive should be readily available at your local Wal-Mart supercenter garden department or Lowe's/Home Depot's garden department and it's only a couple bucks a bottle. Tap water is just fine to use, and should have a pH of close to 7 without you needing to do anything to it...but what you...

    Bagseed closet Stealth grow

Here's what I'd do: Wait until the medium is very dry, to the point where it's almost, but not quite, starting to droop from needing water. Then, starting about a finger's width above soil level, start working the stem where you can get your fingers in by giving it a pinch. First one side...

12/12 from seed 5 weeks into flowering schwag bagseed

Looks like you may have some kinda nute deficiency by that reddish-brown-purple color on those leaves. Not sure what to suggest beyond checking your runoff pH and maybe adding a couple drops of something like Superthrive into your watering.
