cant get a straight answer... need some xpert input pls

Don't worry about stretching at this point. The plant will not grow, all of its energy is going towards making roots to feet with first. Plus whatever grows that low is just going to be the stem of your plant when its larger anyways.

7 week flowering advice please Island Sweet Skunk

Most people say 7-10 days. I do it at 7 because I actually flush rather than just switching to plain water. If you're just gonna switch to plain water but not flush then maybe start at 10 days. Keep in mind that some argue that they benefit from not flushing during that time. In my own...

    chopping early....

Remember to add water when you make butter. You cook that stuff in straight butter you'll end up with a burned mess on your hands if you don't do it just right :P I also like the water in there because then once you cook everything you can just put it in a container and throw it in the freezer...

    chopping early....

I'd make food. I had to chop a hermie once that I think was right about that time where the buds just started to look like little hairy buds and they had some resin...I got high when I smoked em but not that high.

Your plants look nice and healthy. I'd spring for a few more CFL's. Only spend like $10 or $20...

    My new grow setup :)

I think 8 weeks is very excessive vegetation, especially for putting 6 plants under a 250w light. Unless you're accounting for the slow start of seedlings or something. If you're going to be putting 6 plants under a 250w light you'll probably only want to only vegetate them 2-4 weeks max. Just...

    Harvest Time: A Tutorial

On my last harvest I took fdd's advice and cut when they were slightly crispy on the outside of the bud but the stems were still _slightly_ pliable. I made sure I opened the jars daily. The alfalfa/green smell was dominant for about 4-5 days in the jars. By the end of the week the alfalfa/green...

    stolen seedling any tips?

You'd think they would've realized they've fallen prey to a troll something like 15 or 16 pages ago heh I don't think you really stole it either way.

Help!! Woke Up this Morning. With tons of sciarid flies.. 9 weèks flowering!!!

Sciarid flies also called fungus gnats aren't too hard to take care of if you want to keep your plants going. I've had them before. The biggest harm they pose is in their maggot stage they chomp on your roots. The adults don't do a whole lot of damage (as far as I have gathered from experience)...

a few days of dark before harvest???

Plants don't need a conscious. What do you think we change the light cycles for? They are photosensitive. Therefore 72 hrs darkness might just trigger some sort of survival mechanism or hormone production that you don't know about. Aside from your personal opinion you may have about light...

a few days of dark before harvest???

Is it possible that instead of stressing them into producing more resin instead they produce male flowers as their last resort? And if so, is it possible that when you cut and hang the buds they could begin seed production since they are still growing to some degree? Or is it pretty much risk...

    Botanicare

I've been thinking of switching to Botanicare's Pure Blend Pro stuff. My buddy uses it with great success. I've been using Fox Farm to great success and like that alot of their nutes are organic ("based" anyways), but Botanicare's line seems so simple that I am pretty sure I'm switching over...

    Ugh!!

85F is not extreme heat, but still pretty high for your constant temp in there. Could be causing heat stress over prolonged periods.

6 days without a feed!!!! Can they be saved???

^^ doesn't know what he's talking about. Giving them nutes when they are in that state could just hurt them even more.

great no power how long is to long...?

Like Laser said, they are used to long dark periods when the end of the summer comes and fall begins towards the end of flower. Not to mention some growers leave their plants in the dark 24-48 hours before harvesting anyways. I think the theory is that it shocks them into an all-out expenditure...

6 days without a feed!!!! Can they be saved???

I've been in this situation before. I had to take a trip and was forced to rely on others to water my babies....and they did not come through for me. The only thing you can give them that will help aside from water is some Thrive Alive (or another B vitamin (B1?) plant shock and transplant...

    Someone found my plants!

Simple: You said they were budding and mature. Cut them now, get what you can. If you don't they will belong to those thieves. Good luck next year. P.S. Don't listen too all these violent people. I've got loads of guns and hate thieves with a passion but someone breaking into your private...
