Where Do I Find the Trichs?

Two quick things I noticed with my girls were: 1) When I got my humidity in line the trichs got quite a bit larger, and 2) Two weeks or so before harvest they seemed to start enlarging again. Remember trichs serve a function or 2 for the plant so if you work within the parameters of those...

    Microscope Tips

I agree the RS can be tough to use, but I simply clip off a piece of one of the smaller leaves on a bud I want to check, then place it on a white piece of paper and focus. I can look to my hearts content. The scope sits flat and everything is "crystal" clear (lol). No problemo, I really don't...

anyone ever heard of resin deposits?

I'm not absolutely sure but it resembles a "scale" infestation. However, I don't even know if pot can get scale. Are these indoors?? Are they near any house plants? If that's what it is, it can be difficult to eradicate. Hopefully one of the moderators can identify it. GL HH

    Should I Harvest?? Please Help!!

So....Here's the scoop. Two weeks into flowering I needed to transplant and I had some pretty bad nute burn. So transplanted and leached 3 different times and by that time was 1 month into flowering. Hadn't fed anything during the leaching period. Started to feed Flora Nova bloom (4-8-7)...

How do you get power in your closet??

Congrats!! You go girl!!! Most men find it amazing when a woman can do electrical, plumbing, or construction. We CAN read. I've been doing all that stuff for years because I found out the hard way too often I got a half-assed job or over charged for the job. I figured if I did it my self that...

    Pistils vs trichomes

Hey y'all!! I was wondering which is the best method of telling whether the girls are ready are or not. I understand if you see approx. 80% of the pistals change colors it's time. What I want to understand is, if it is more accurate to watch the trichomes and if you see them begin to cloud and...

Drooping leaves in the night time.

I would reconsider misting at night. That could be a set-up for molds, mildews and fungi. If ya need to mist, do it lightly in the morning before the sun hits the plants so you don't burn them and they dry before the sun hits. GL HH

Surgical Amputation, can I keep the limb alive?

Has anybody ever taken a flowering stem (3 1/2 wks) and kept it alive in H2O until harvest? They are sitting in a 8"x12" basin with approx 1-1 1/2" H2O & molasses. Off the main plant for 1 1/2 wks. Yesterday I pulled them out and checked the stem, and it showed no signs of rot, but I cut...

pics & good details... plz help diagnose!

In answer to your questions. Picture #4 & 5 has some leaf tip (edge) burn starting, I was under the impression that was a symptom of nute burn. Question #2: LoveIt stated him/herself the pH was out of whack. I'm glad he retested and found out it was OK. HH

    what causes small leaves?

I have recently discovered a few things in my reading which may or may not apply since I can't back it up with studies. (However my understanding is they are going on.) Anyway, the jiffy is quite a bit smaller, young plants develop their root system first. If they don't have space to expand it's...

pics & good details... plz help diagnose!

Does look like some nute burn, possibly do to locking up with your pH. Do you stick your finger into your pots to check if the plants are wet before you H20? Don't disturb the root ball anymore than you have too, it only causes more transplant shock. If the plants are already wet from your...

none of it makes sense/ just let it happen

Have to say, all things being equal with the exception of pot vs ground I have to agree with BB. Developing roots take a tremendous amount of energy, and until they fill up the hole the growth will probably slow significantly. If you really want to check this, repeat your experiment. I think...

    Transplanting nessessary?

I completely agree with Mike, don't shortcut on transplanting. There is always some work in anything that is worth doing. If you're only growing a few it will take you well under an hour. GL HH

It's hell for a plant to have a newbie for a parent.

Yes, I'm 3 weeks into flowering and on most plants they're everywhere (node areas). Lots of little puff balls showing up every where. The top of the main colas have a new set every day. Thanks in advance, HH
