As much as it sucks, I would say that it would be hard to grow then. Odds are you're going to get inspected at some point in one grow unless you fit it perfectly in between inspections. Especially with so few options to move the plant.

I have found that ethanol works better than rubbing alcohol, but it's really more dependent on the concentration. The 70% doesn't work nearly as well as the 90%, higher is even better if you can find it. 100% will literally clean it right off just by pouring it on it and shaking a little.

It also depends on your soil. Some soils have more feeding than others. So once you plant in soil, some will need nutes sooner than others. If you use a very low food content soil, then a small dose of nutes earlier shouldn't hurt, with other soils you can wait even longer than two weeks...
