1 gallon for each foot. If you have a 5 ft plant you'll need a 5 gallon pot.

Dude! your 30 gallon is big for indoors. hopefully its outside.Why not put it in the ground if that's the case. Also.... NEVER put 2 plants in the same pot. You cant put two girls in the same bed, but you can't put two ladies in the same pot.
