no need to feed for first 3 weeks at least. Very important to start off on 1/3 strength nutes and build up gradually. yes put and keep on 18/6 light. Do not get seedling too hot or too near bulb to start with - until it starts to grow a little.

cheers mate. used 400w HPS dual spectrum for first four weeks, then I add another 400w pure flowering bulb and another extraction fan for the last four or five weeks. Veg with 400w MH.

hi mate, firstly you can lower your light considerably. you want it as close to the plants as possible without causing them to burn. As you already have a fan you will be able to get pretty close - 12-20''. Next, do you test the ph and ppm levels of the feed before you add it? pH should...

you are much better off getting a metal halide bulb for vegging. mercury vapour bulbs use alot of juice, are not as many lumens, run too hot and do not provide the same light spectrum. MH bulbs are not expensive at all. goood luck:blsmoke:
