I am happy to hear all the good reports. I have a PE 11 days into 12/12 and it has gone nuts! No stretching, just GROWING. Already showing she is all girl. Under a 1000 watt HPS.

I use CFL's in the clone/seedling closet and for early vegging. When they get 2 or 3 sets of real leaves, I put them under a 430 watt Son-Agrow fixture for vegging. Then its off to the flower room to finish under two 1000 watt HPS lights.

Growing indoors under artificial light is all about pushing the boundries of nature. That is why we go straight to 12/12 when we want to flower instead of slowly decreasing the light over the course of weeks, like it occurs in nature. We use abrupt changes in light schedule to shock the plants...

Just get them on 12/12 and give them a little more time and you should be fine. Waiting is a bitch though. You might lose a little weight, but not too much I hope. I have been doing a perpetual grow, harvesting every 3 weeks or so. Changed from hydro to dirt recently, and now I have about an 8...

Dont put it out in the sun until it sprouts and grows some. Start the seeds indoors. They dont need much light at all to get sprouted. Then give them indirect sunlight until they grow their first set of real leaves. Then you build it up to full sunlight.

That will do fine untill they get a couple of inches tall and get their first set of true leaves.. Then you need to hit them with more light to keep them from getting leggy and thin.

I dont even cut them in half, I like to grow big plants. My theory is: more roots = bigger plant = more bud. If you are restricted on height though, half works good. Any place that has a paint department usually has them. Except Walmart, they dont have squat. Mine cost about $2.50 at Lowes.
