    Is this your only plant? I'd begin to think she's just a slow dud. I had this one plant once... Took like 7 weeks to grow it's 2nd set of leaves. But when it did... Man that thing was growing fuckin fast each day. Just a slow starter.

    I second this. If you're using CFL's or FLoros you can put them REALLY close. Like 1-3" close.

    4x20w 2' long tubes Labeled "Daylight 6500k" bought from Wal-Mart. Honestly now. Uhm. I have my plants like 2" away from them and they just wanna stretch and stretch closer... Do Florescent tubes suck for growing?

    This sounds crazy, but why not a combination of natural sunlight through a window plus that lamp?

    You'll be fine. Sure, its not ideal, but you'll be fine. Think of it as the difference between low-grade and high-grade gas in your car.
