Yes a 6" cool tube will work but you should get at least a 600w HID for a tent that size or even a 1000w. and either way you'll need exhust fans too.

I think their talking about when you switch the lighting program to the flower schd of 12/12 and not when the start showing. It wouldn't hurt to go a bit longer with the transition mix anyway. Keeps them green longer IMO
