    I've had some before like that, the one i had was covered in trichs but would not stick, in fact my fingers were slippery like opposite of sticky. The guy i got the seed from said he had also had that oily pheno show up. So may just be the plant?

    it actually works really fuckin good, look up a site called tomatoville, there's a bunch that use it there, i used it for a long time both as a seed starter and a DWC netpot filler. IMO the oil dri worked better than jiffy make sure its composed of either diatomaceous earth or fullers earth
