is there anything i should avoid, considering my girls are already in the flowering stage and such? i already have some neem oil on hand (also have some garden safe insecticide with pyrethrin, but the 3 in 1 is recommended for gnats, doesn't sound quite as effective as a pyrethrin bomb) , so...
it's marketed as nutes for both vegetables and flowers, but you really have to watch that ratio
i'd say maybe use it as a supplement, 'cause it's good for the soil's micro-organisms, but not as your sole fert, and more so early on
!!!!! Alaska fish fertilizer??? Is that the only thing you've used? That's the one with the NPK ratio 5-1-1 right? Perfect for veg, to be put to the side when you start flowering! Have you added anything high in PK?
Also, pH isn't too bad, ideal for soil to maximize nutrient absorption is 6.5-6.8
I haven't had any issues with MG Organic. Though it would have never been my first choice, I've had two girls in it since they were around 7 days old (around 30 days old now), and their growth exploded after I repotted them in it. - primarily peat moss and composted bark, needs better drainage...
It looks like it could be pH lockout, though, this just happened to my girls a while back because their soil got too acidic, plus there was a build-up of residue from prior feedings in their water trays. How much fertilizer are you using, ratio to water + age, size of plants? Do you pH your...
No, that's not a sign of male preflowers/flowers, like stated, just a side effect of the supercropping. When did you do the training? Did the plants seem to respond well to it?
Make sure to get your pH back on track before adding any nutes - if your pH is indeed off, then there's already a lockout and adding more nutes is just going to add fuel to the flames, so to speak. Do you think you could provide pics or more info.? At this point, that doesn't sound like too much...
come to think of it bdonson, could you give some updated pics from today, maybe, and one for size reference of those buds? maybe they look bigger than they actually are, and that's why people are getting the perception that this is a herm., instead of a female
He said hermies, though, not males - from hermies you can get both nice bud and viable seeds - not such a bad thing, but yeah, that still isn't necessarily one, anyway. I'd wait it out, as long as the plant looks healthy
Examples of herms...
Sorry for posting so much in a row, but i couldn't help it - the top leaves are singed from faye growing into the lights while i was sleeping last night, and the spots are still there from the pH battle, but the new growth is coming in ok
i decided to celebrate with some early bud shots, 9 days...
Oh yeah, and despite the spotting that was at its worst Sunday morning, they're were 2" taller this morning than yesterday morning (at around 21-22" now), so I'm hoping that's an OK sign.
One random thing - I find it interesting that everyone on here automatically calls me "dude," "bro," or "man." ;-)
In any case, here are a few pics, I need to get a better cam, can't do any good up-close shots of the buds. It seems like the girls have certainly stabilized from their prior pH...
