Thank you very informative post. I've been using beneficial bacteria called great white 1/4 tsp per gal in my hydro setup. Thinking about switching to tap water instead of distilled. Wondering if this will cause problems with the good bacteria

Thanks for this. Mine is 172 ppm after sitting overnight open in a gallon jug. I'm going to use it on my next water change in 6 days and see how my ladies do. Since I add 7.5 ml of cal/ mag to each gal I'm hoping this will be good getting tired of buying 12 gallons of distilled water each week...

Depends what kind of lights and how many. I've been using led's and cfl's on side doesn't change my bill buy more than 5 bucks a month
