    High PPM BS!!!

Don't take it too personally man! :) I know, I know, it gets annoying, but unfortunately in any forum you have to sift through the crap to get to the good stuff. This high PPM racket is the reason why some people insist on the so called "flush". When you blast your plants with 2000 to 3000...

    Urea 45-0-0 ?

From Wikipedia: What this means is, unless you are using an organic based soil (ie. contains lots of organic debris and lots of bacteria, fungi, etc.) the plants won't be able to absorb nitrogen because the ammonia will not be converted to plant absorbable nitrates. In other words, this...

Upward curling leaves ******* need help***** , pics included -----

Sorry man, but that is incorrect. Leaves always curl up when they dry out due either to too much heat, to little humidity, or both. What this guy has are the classic symptoms of heat stress.

A Bored Electrician to Answer Your Questions

Thanks man, I appreciate the advice. I'll probably go for the Leviton, that's what they stock at the local Home Depot.

It looks like heat stress. How close are your lights and what's the temp of your room?

A Bored Electrician to Answer Your Questions

I'm not an electrician, but I consider myself to be pretty proficient at it. I framed and wired my basement myself, but I did get an electrician (who is a family friend) to come in and inspect it, and he gave me two thumbs up. So wiring the timer wasn't bad at all, sure it's not as easy as just...

Waterfarm Ph Problems On Recirculating System

Man, I don't know why you refuse to follow my advice and stop using the bud candy. You just said it yourself that it's causing your algae problems, which is more than likely the reason for your PH problems. Regardless, if you continue using bud candy for the rest of this grow, try leaving it out...

A Bored Electrician to Answer Your Questions

Iam5toned, thanks for starting this thread and sharing your knowledge and experience, it's very much appreciated. My question relates to cloned's question about timers. A typical timer that you can buy at home depot, walmart, etc. is usually rated for 15 amps, which would indicate to me that...

~Newsflash~ there is NO such thing as Cannabis getting "rootbound"

I think Corbat420 is right in principal, not in delivery (ie. insulting people isn't going to get you anywhere). Root binding is very real and a fact for just about every plant on earth. A plants foliage growth and braching is directly correlated with root growth, once root growth is retarded...

    Ultimate PC grow.

Man, no offense, but you aren't going to yield much of anything in a PC case. Why not build a decent sized cabinet or use half a closet or something. There isn't enough space in a PC case for a soil grow, let alone hydro. It's going to get too hot as well. Why must it be in a PC case?

Waterfarm Ph Problems On Recirculating System

Loose the Bud Candy, it's glorified over priced molases, and it's not good for hydroponic systems. The sugar feeds bacteria in the res which multiply causing a rapid rise in PH. Try sticking with H2O2 and the Sensi A & B only and see what happens. Keep it simple and you'll have less problems.

    YELLOWING PLANT & good mids

Yeah, that one looks like it has a lot more indica in it. You'll find out for sure when you smoke them :)

    YELLOWING PLANT & good mids

They're tall and lanky, but even more indicative are the very thin bladed leaves. Hybrids and especially pure indicas have much wider blades on the leaves, and are generally more short and stout.

A first designd hydro setp (pics)

That setup is going to be way too hot, two PC fans are just not going to be sufficient to cool the space. Get yourself a 4" Vortex Powerfan instead. It'll cost you around $150, but it's powerfull and it works well. Don't cheap out on ventilation, you'll end up paying for it down the road.

could someone explain what lime (ph conditioner) does

No problem. Glad I could help. Yeah.. I think you're focusing too much on the PH. Just make sure your feed solution and your water are PH balanced to around 6.5 to 7.0, I wouldn't worry so much about the runoff PH. I suspect that this is your problem. It sounds like you're over...

PLANNIN ON BUYING MH or HPS lights.

Bosson, you can speed growth, but you can't speed maturity. For example, If we did side by side grows, one with a 1000w HPS and another with a couple of CFLs, they would both take relatively the same amount of time to harvest, the only difference would be that the plant grown with the HPS would...

Put that plant out of it's misery, do some research, and start over.

PLANNIN ON BUYING MH or HPS lights.

Go for the HPS, more lumens per watt. Doesn't matter what system you have.
