is there such a thing as too much light. like 2600 w in a 4x6-6 area

You should do some more research then :P JK :) There is a limit to how much light an MJ plant can use depending on how much CO2 is available (with the assumption that all other requirements are met, like nutrients, water, evironment, etc). Photosynthesis is catalyzed by light, but requires...

Can i use any fert. in hydro

Two things you must look for when buying nutrients for hydroponics: 1) Must be water soluble 2) Must contain NPK + Secondary nutrients + trace micronutrients A lot of "Soil" fertilizers only contain NPK and maybe some Mg, Ca, and S, but usually no micros because 99% of soil already contains...

    GH Maxi Series for hydro

Thanks for the feedback guys. Yeah, I'm currently employing the Lucas formula and I did notice the nutrient profile for MaxiBloom was similar (5-10-9 for Lucas, 5-15-14 for MaxiBloom). What do you use to exclusively add nitrogen? Good to hear. Do you use the manufacturers recommended...

    GH Maxi Series for hydro

I'm currently running a drain-to-waste drip system setup using Advanced nutrients 3-part (Micro, Grow, Bloom) and I am quite pleased with the results. However, I'll be pretty much out of the AN 3 part once this crop is done. I'm considering purchasing the AN 3-part again, but I currently have a...

adding a day a full darkness in mid to late flowering?

I'm not quite following you. Anyway, I'm just emphasizing the point that these plants have evolved on this planet for aeons with regular day/night cycles and that's ultimately what we are trying to emulate indoors.

[HELP]Can anyone tell me what's wrong with them? (lots of hq pics)

You don't need a humidifier. It's a waste of money. I've grown perfectly healthy robust productive plants at 40% and lower humidty. This isn't your problem

Is this a sign of overwatering?

Forget about your PH. PH isn't the issue. Please read: https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/150004-plant-moisture-stress-symptoms-solutions.html

adding a day a full darkness in mid to late flowering?

Think about it, does the sun go out for a day during the fall?

How hot does your aircooled reflector get?

Same here. I'm using a 6" Vortex with 6" ducting ran through two 600w HPSs. My reflectors are actually cool to the touch. I'm also using air from my garage (which is around 10*C or 50*F) to cool the lights.

Please help me! Why do my leaves look like this?

Man, if you don't want to take my advice that's fine. But I'm telling you that you can grow healthy productive plants with nothing more than a good 2 or 3 part nutrient. You're wasting your money on "what the hydro guy recommends". Of course the guy at the hydro store is going to recommend it...

on day 5 hang drying help !!!! please

Sure you can. I harvested a crop last year that I had hanging to dry for a week or so, the problem was the electric heat was on in the room, so the buds got really dry, so dry that I had to handle them with care so as not to break them all apart. All I did was I gently put the buds in rubbermaid...

Please help me! Why do my leaves look like this?

More is not better. Keep it simple. You're using way too many products. Stick with the Dutch Master Gold A&B only. Your plants are lacking nitrogen and other elements because they are being outcompeted by others. Too much of one thing will reduce the intake of something else. This is why it's...

[HELP]Can anyone tell me what's wrong with them? (lots of hq pics)

The all-mix is too hot for babies. Start your plants in a small pot with a light mix like Promix or something. Once they are around three weeks old transplant them into larger pots filled with all-mix and you should be set. This is classic misinformation. 80% is too high regardless of the...

light or space??? which is better??? poll

And here is the crux of the problem, CO2 is usually the limiting factor in most peoples grow rooms, unless you supplement CO2 with a burner or tank. I have aircooled lights, so I can get them pretty close without heat being a issue, however, I can't get them much closer than 14" or so because...

How do you Know what your co2 PPM is?

You have to get a CO2 controller, which will constantly monitor CO2 levels and adjust accordingly (either by the use of a solenoid for CO2 gas in a tank, or by switching on a propane burner). At around $600 they are expensive however. 1500ppm is generally known as the optimum level for cost...

    is 10-15-10 good?

10-15-10 is certainly not the best choice of veg nute, for flowering it would be ok but not great. For veg you want to aim for a 2:1:1 ratio, which would look like 10-5-5 NPK, it doesn't have to be exact but at least in the ballpark. As for flowering, aim for a 1:2:2 ratio, which would look like...

is there such thing as too much light??

The light saturation point is dependent on other limiting factors: Nutrient availability, environment, and CO2 levels. Providing you have a good environment (correct temp and humidty) and the proper levels of nutrients, available CO2 is usually the limiting factor. I don't use CO2, but I have...

light or space??? which is better??? poll

The answer is indeed obvious. You will most certainly achieve a higher yield with two 5 x 5 areas with 2 x 1000w lights vs. one 5 x 5 area with 2 x lights. Even though cannabis is a light loving plant, it does have it's limits. 2000 watts in a 5x5 area would be 80w/sq.ft., where 50w/sq.ft. is...

    Question??

No, no, and no :) Male cannabis plants are good for one thing, breeding.
