Do Your Plants Know the Difference Between Organic and Inorganic Fertilizers?

I have to say, I mostly agree with CrackerJax on this issue. I have actually grown a crop in which half the plants were grown organically (subcools soil mix) and half chemically (Promix + AN 3-part). The organic crop yielded about 40% less than the chemically grown crop and took about 2 weeks...

5th week of flowering leaves turning yellow

Looks like it's suffering from a lack of N. Are you currently using a bloom enhancer? What is your current NPK ratio?

    inline fan with fresca sol?

Unless you are supplementing with CO2, you must use an inline fan to exchange air in the grow room. Even with CO2 you have to vent from time to time.

    curing with fruit

I've done the same with orange rinds. It works great to preserve the moisture in your buds, or to increase moisture in over-dried bud. I leave them until the skins dry up. I've never experienced mold or anything like that, the skins will dry out before moisture becomes a problem.

    600w MH ?????

I was in the same predicament about 6 months ago. I have two 600w Lumatek Digital Ballasts and I wanted to be able to use them for vegging the first two weeks. Of course, I could have just used the Hortilux 600w HPS bulbs that I had, but I wanted the shortest plants possible, so I preferably...

3rd week of flower and I have a deficiency. Please help (Pix)

That's about what I run, maybe a little warmer by a degree or two, but nothing serious. I may not even be temperature related at all. Are you using bloom enhancers? What is your nutrient ratio? Too much P can antagonize the availability of N.

    Questions on Advanced Nutrients

Calcium carbonate has a solubility of 14 mg/L. So yes, it has pretty poor solubility in water. However, Calcium nitrate, which is the other calcium compound in the Micro, is listed as very soluble in water at 121 mg/L. Your arrogance is a personality trait you really should work on ridding...

    OM F'in G

Indeed. Why anyone, in their right mind, would add molasses to a reservoir is beyond me. Umm yeah, that would be the proliferation of bacteria, care of copious amounts of sugar contained in the molasses. Words of wisdom: NEVER ADD SUGAR TO A RESERVOIR

HOLY FUCK! What can I do..? +rep

I'm not sure if hygrozyme is "nasty" or not, but your problem is, indeed, light penetrating the reservoir. The reservoir should be pretty close to pitch black when covered. Algae in and of itself isn't harmfull to roots, but it will compete for nutrients, which is why you don't want it in your...

    Greencure 12 hours before harvest?

Greencure's active ingredient is potassium bicarbonate which is listed as a safe food additive according to the FDA. Now as far as smoking the stuff, I'm not really sure.

    What 2 do??

Cannabis effects the glandular and lymph systems inhibiting the salivary muscles, resulting in dry throat and mouth. It's just a normal side effect of the drug itself.

Micro. It contains 5.4% soluble calcium in the form of Calcium Nitrate and Calcium Carbonate. Link ---> http://www.hydroponicsoutlet.com/Advanced-Nutrients-Micro-1-Liter-p/anm1l.htm Ok, so lets assume that AN are lying based on the above statement. First of all, why would they NOT add...

    Questions on Advanced Nutrients

While I agree with most of your post, I have to correct the quote above. The AN 3-part does contain calcium. I know this not only through what's listed as guarenteed analysis on the label, but for the fact that I use this stuff exclusively (I don't add cal-mag, etc.) with R/O water and if it...

    Rockwool

Nah, rockwool is safe. It's much like fiberglass, it can be an irritant if it gets into your throat, but generally, as long as you aren't shreding the stuff in a small room, you'll be fine. It's not like asbestos or anything, it won't cause permanent harm even if a little bit did find it's way...

    drain water 5.6

Are your plants looking otherwise healthy? If so, just keep doing what your doing. PH of 5.6 isn't too bad. You could add a little lime as a top dressing to get the PH up a bit, but don't do anything drastic. Make sure that if you add lime that you don't fertilize for a week or so.

new grower, large plant falling over

Well with the lack of info available, it's hard to say exactly what this is caused by, but potassium plays an important role in strengthening stems and MJ likes lots of potassium. Take a look at your nutrient profile and see if you may be lacking potassium (K). You should have at least a 1:1...

Just a quick Qs about hydro

Avoid irrigation during the dark period, it encourages mold and mildew. Plants use water at a much lower rate during the dark.
