I'll be be flowerin vegged clones at around 12-16", it's air-cooled hood so I can get light closer. I think that'll work with 6, probably 4 the best, but 6 is doable.

1 sq ft. per plant minimum With the 24x48x7 u can probably grow 8 effectively, fully grown vegetative plants. A 400w might not be sufficient for that. You could get 4-5 probably in in the other.......i'm doin 6 in a 24.5"W x 36"L x 6(or)7"D....I think 6 might be pushin it with a 400...

I'd be willing to bet that more than often it's the method in which the weed is grown. However, if you start with poor genetics, even the best conditions may not be enough to produce good weed, even good looking weed. I'm not an expert, though.

NO NO NO!! That fan will NOT be adequate for that light and that room. Absolutely not! You need a bigger and better fan. Your room is 8x10x? Lets say the room is 7 ft tall. That's 560 cubic feet to ventilate with a 1,000 watter. You need AT LEAST a 400+cfm fan...maybe even 2 (exhaust)...
